The Liches Descent
After a nasty morning meeting with fellow liches (and being laughed out for your idea of a security system that can turn Lich tower traps on and off), you decide that going to town and having a nice drink would be a great way to cap off the morning. However, you've forgotten the code to the security system you installed in your own tower! You must descend and escape your own towers traps, and get to town in order to regenerate your security systems code, using your minions to help you along the way.
This game was made for the fourth 1-Bit game jam, under the theme "Tower".
(If the game looks a little off-aspect, its because Itch.io is stupid when it comes to window resizing. I had to manually figure out what numbers would make it look close to intended. This seems to only affect the text boxes though, so it shouldn't be too bad.)

Fuck me did i forget the code
THe controlls arent fun to work with, the idea is overdone, but im proud to hear this is your first full game. hope you improve in your game dev future(Also game is hard as ball ngl)
The idea is overdone? Really? I hadnt heard of it lol
This game would benefit from a tiny bit of 'Coyote Time'. I can't get past the first sideways spike because it feels almost impossible to jump from the first platform to the next one! Is it supposed to be impossible? Because that's how it feels. I've died over 20 times so far and it stopped being fun and believable. :( Or maybe a checkpoint on each new floor would make it easier?
It would be nice to be able to advance the dialog faster as well.
The sideway spikes are meant to be traversed through other methods (Zombies can die on spikes and give you a new platform to jump on!) and aren't meant to be jumped over, haha. I think though implementing Coyote time could be a neat challenge, as im not quite sure how to do that!
Also I will try to make dialogue advance faster, I tried to make dialogue short so that it wouldn't be a problem (as I didn't quite know how to program it in effectively lol)
I apologize as this is my first real foray into a "full" game, and this is my first jam. But I apperciate your comment!
Edit: That would be what I would say if I had version controlled properly before exporting and all of my work hadnt corrupted. I dont think I can fix the coyote time or dialouge thing.. if I manage to uncorrupt it, ill fix it haha
